China confirms more Internet cafe closures
China plays by its own rules. The have a webpage that allows their own people to report on websites deemed undesirable.
Their government is also believing that Internet cafes are corrupting their users . The whole situation has now reached a point where they confirm that since February this year, they have closed down a total of 1,600 Internet cafes. More than 1.8 million Internet cafes have been checked (according to Deputy director of the Culture Ministry's Market Department, Zhang Xinjian - but what a stamina) and more than "18,000 had been ordered to cease their operations until reported violations have been corrected."
