Bill Gates to help Thailand in education
Is it because Microsoft is worried about the rising influence of Linux in the Asia region, and he wants to bolster his influence in the region or is he really altruistic in assisting?
May be it is both, but whatever it is, it is a good move. Thailand will receive experts from Microsoft to help train 20,000 teachers and 60,000 students. It is my opinion that education is a way to lift a country out of poverty and makes involved parties aware of the power of knowledge. Finally, education surely is a way to combat terrorism. As such, way to go, Bill, keep on rocking!
