Meg says that Korea is a test bed for broadband Internet
E-Bay CEO Meg Whitman said she views Korea as a "testbed and research and development (R&D) lab for global user trends accompanied by the availability of the broadband Internet access."
This is a great compliment for the country from America's leading female CEO who was in charge of developing Ebay from a US$5.7 million to a US$3.2 billion in estimated 2004 revenues in just 7 years, as said in Fortune Magazine (subscription required).
But Korea is not finished yet - while they have overtaken the US in digital supremacy they have more ambitious plans and want to increase their Internet speed by 50 times until 2010.
